Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Rural Carrier Associate, where you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of packages to rural and suburban communities. This energetic position involves navigating various routes, handling packages with care, and providing exceptional customer service. You will be an essential link between our company and the communities we serve, delivering smiles along with parcels every day. The role offers an engaging work environment for motivated individuals who thrive on activity, organization, and community connection. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles and adhere strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring safe lifting practices are followed at all times. Drive assigned routes efficiently, maintaining accurate delivery schedules while navigating rural roads and route driving conditions in all types of weather. Deliver parcels directly to customers' doorsteps or designated drop-off points, providing friendly and professional customer service throughout each interaction. Use mobile devices to scan packages, update delivery statuses, and communicate effectively with dispatch teams. Manage warehouse operations related to package storage, sorting, and inventory control when necessary. Follow all safety protocols for heavy lifting, moving packages, and operating manual transmission or commercial trucks to ensure a safe working environment. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services with a strong understanding of route planning and navigation. Ability to operate commercial trucks, box trucks, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment safely. Skilled in manual handling, heavy lifting, and adhering to safe lifting practices in accordance with workplace weight handling standards. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight limits. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards clients during deliveries. Strong driving skills with experience in commercial truck driving or delivery driver roles, Ability to handle moving packages efficiently while maintaining safety standards for self and others. Comfortable using mobile devices for route management and communication purposes. From $21.89 per hour
