This position receives, records, sorts, stores, and distributes resident packages; assists with package deliveries when needed; and retrieves package carts from residential buildings. The clerk provides friendly, efficient customer service and may assist with front-desk operations during busy periods or staff absences. Responsibilities Receive packages from delivery companies and other carriers. Scan, record, and process packages accurately using the designated package-management system. Sort and organize packages by resident, building, or other established categories. Maintain accurate package records and protect packages from loss, damage, or unauthorized access. Identify packages with incomplete or incorrect information. Assist residents with collecting their packages. Deliver packages to designated residential buildings or locations as assigned. Retrieve package carts from residential buildings and return them to the package room or other designated location. Follow established procedures for unclaimed, misdelivered, damaged, or returned packages. Provide courteous, professional, and timely service to residents, delivery drivers, employees, and visitors. Answer questions regarding package delivery, notification, pickup, and return procedures. Clearly explain package-room policies and help resolve routine concerns. Maintain a welcoming, organized, and service-oriented environment. Assist with basic administrative tasks, record keeping, and office organization. Keep the package room, storage areas, counters, carts, and equipment clean and organized.
