Rural Carrier Associate

In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages, mail, and freight to rural and suburban areas. Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles including box trucks and personal vehicles to complete assigned routes. Load, unload, and organize packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safe lifting practices during route driving and delivery activities. Use mobile devices for route navigation, package scanning, and delivery documentation to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with recipients during deliveries and addressing their needs courteously. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure safety standards are maintained. Follow proper procedures for manual handling, heavy lifting, and moving packages of varying weights while minimizing injury risk. Experience Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is highly desirable. Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, especially with box trucks or personal vehicle delivery. Demonstrated ability to operate commercial trucks or heavy material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is preferred; valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Experience adhering to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse communities. Ability to handle weight in the workplace safely while performing load & unload tasks efficiently.
