Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role requires a genuine love for animals and a commitment to supporting both clients and their pets. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets upon arrival with warmth and professionalism. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail. Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including medication administration and patient intake. Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and welcoming for clients. Educate clients on proper pet care, medication administration, and follow-up procedures. Handle client concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and basic animal husbandry practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. Proficiency in managing front desk operations, including scheduling software and payment processing systems. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment. A passion for animal care, with experience in laboratory settings considered an asset.
