Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist and become the friendly, organized face of our animal care facility! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, ensuring a smooth flow of appointments, patient intake, and client communication. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment where clients feel confident and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a passionate team dedicated to animal health and well-being. Duties Greet clients warmly and efficiently manage appointment scheduling to optimize clinic flow Answer phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries appropriately Collect payments and process medical collections accurately while maintaining confidentiality Assist with kennel duties, including animal husbandry, feeding, cleaning, and monitoring pets during their stay Support veterinary staff with animal restraint, handling, and basic pet care tasks such as grooming or pet grooming assistance Maintain organized records of patient information, treatment details, and laboratory documentation Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary team members regarding pet health updates or follow-up care Requirements Prior experience with animal handling, including dog handling and pet care responsibilities Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques Experience with laboratory procedures or aseptic technique is a plus Familiarity with medical collection processes and kennel operations is preferred Ability to handle animals safely during procedures such as animal catheterization or critical care situations Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and client communication Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate service to pet owners from diverse backgrounds This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal welfare who thrive in fast-paced environments.
