Job Description

Lead Receptionist Quapaw Baths & Spa - Hot Springs, Arkansas Quapaw Baths & Spa is seeking a dependable, professional, and proactive Lead Receptionist to help oversee the daily operations of our reception team. This is a working lead position . The Lead Receptionist will perform regular receptionist duties while also serving as a resource and point of support for the reception team. The ideal candidate is organized, confident communicating with both guests and employees, comfortable addressing concerns, and able to take initiative without needing constant direction. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service to guests in person, by phone, and through text communication. Answer phones, return messages, and assist guests with questions regarding services, pricing, policies, and availability. Schedule spa appointments accurately while following all booking guidelines and service restrictions. Check guests in and out and process payments accurately. Maintain knowledge of spa services, packages, promotions, policies, and current booking procedures. Provide day-to-day support and direction to reception staff during assigned shifts. Help ensure receptionists are following established procedures, booking guidelines, and customer service expectations. Be present and aware of issues, concerns, or challenges occurring within the reception team. Address and coach minor issues when appropriate and communicate concerns requiring additional follow-up to management. Document employee behaviors, coaching conversations, guest concerns, or operational issues when necessary. Provide management with updates regarding the reception team and any situations requiring follow-up. Use available resources, training, and previous coaching to resolve problems whenever possible. Assist with training and supporting new and existing receptionists. Help maintain professional communication and teamwork throughout the reception department. Assist with maintaining an organized, professional, and guest-ready reception area. Communicate effectively with management and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations. Complete additional reception and leadership duties as assigned by management. Leadership Expectations The Lead Receptionist is expected to set a positive example for the reception team through attendance, professionalism, communication, and accountability. This position requires someone who is willing to take initiative, remain actively involved in the department, recognize concerns before they become larger issues, and communicate appropriately with management. The Lead Receptionist should be comfortable providing respectful coaching and redirection when expectations are not being met while knowing when a situation needs to be escalated to management. Qualifications Previous receptionist, front desk, customer service, hospitality, or spa experience preferred. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a busy environment. Comfortable handling guest concerns and assisting with employee questions. Ability to take initiative and problem-solve. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Comfortable learning and using scheduling, point-of-sale, phone, and computer systems. Must be able to work effectively as both a team member and a team lead. Scheduling & Availability Weekend availability is required. Holiday availability is required. Applicants must have reliable transportation. Dependable and consistent attendance is essential for this leadership position. Employees are expected to communicate as soon as possible regarding unexpected absences or delays and follow company attendance and call-in procedures. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who does more than simply complete assigned tasks. A successful Lead Receptionist will be proactive, observant, dependable, professional, and willing to take ownership of the reception area during their shift . This person should be comfortable supporting coworkers, addressing concerns professionally, communicating important information to management, and helping maintain the standards expected of the Quapaw Baths & Spa reception team.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
