This energetic role combines administrative excellence with compassionate animal handling, ensuring every pet and pet owner feels valued and supported. As the first point of contact, you'll coordinate appointments, manage medical records, and facilitate smooth communication between clients and veterinary staff. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a positive environment where animals receive top-tier care and owners feel confident in our services. Duties Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently Handle medical billing, collections, and insurance documentation with accuracy and professionalism Maintain detailed medical records, including vaccination history, treatment plans, and laboratory results Assist with kennel management by coordinating pet boarding, feeding schedules, and animal husbandry tasks Support veterinary staff by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment using aseptic techniques, and assisting with animal restraint when needed Manage laboratory samples and perform basic laboratory procedures to support diagnostic testing Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary team members regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and medication instructions Qualifications Proven experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal healthcare settings Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and common pet care practices Hands-on experience with dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet grooming is highly desirable Familiarity with medical collection procedures and laboratory processes in a veterinary context Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing medical records and billing processes Strong phone and computer skills. Must be able to answer multiple phone lines and type at least 35 WPM. Ability to handle animals safely during restraint or minor procedures such as catheterization or pet grooming Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners, veterinary staff, and external vendors Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners!
