Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist/ Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This is one role as we are a small practice at this time. Our potential for growth is there and we will be expanding. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients. EHR experience ECW (E-Clinical works) is mandatory. Providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative needs at the front office. Room patients and assist provider (1 provider) in office with light assistant tasks such as injections and vitals, ear lavages and maintaining the front patient areas. Will train the right candidate that is motivated and able to work independently at times. This role requires a solid understanding of medical terminology, as well as the ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism. Continue building and learning new skills in an environment that builds confidence.
This position:
40 hours week Monday thru Thursday, no weekends, no holidays. 8:30am to 6:00pm 30 min lunch PTO 40 hours per year (4 days) and 30 hours sick time (3 days) 10-hour shifts Paid holidays: Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day ECW --E-Clinical Works EHR experience helpful .. will train Experience- Medical assistant and Medical Receptionist knowledge. Duties/ key
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a warm, welcoming manner as they arrive at the office. Answer phone calls, messages and emails, providing information about services, scheduling appointments, and responding to inquiries. Schedule patient appointments, waiting list, prioritizing patient needs for appointments Check patients in and out, ensuring all required forms are completed accurately and appropriate information is entered into the system. Collect patient information, including insurance details, and verify patient data for accuracy. Process payments for services, including copays and balances, and issue receipts. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area. Coordinate with staff to ensure efficient patient flow throughout the office. Assist with patient file management and electronic medical records (EMR) system updates. Handle confidential patient information with discretion and in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform light administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and assisting with office supplies. Manage patient wait times and address any concerns or questions to ensure a positive experience. Help ensure the office runs smoothly by supporting the provider with other tasks as needed. Assist in medication administration (injections) as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Training will be provided Experience Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas: Understanding of insurance copay, coinsurance, deductible process with multiple insurance plans. (90%) of your role. Strong skills in patient service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions. Previous experience providing medical administrative support for light duties with provider is highly desirable. Training provided. (10% of your role) injections, ear cleaning, specimens and vitals.
