We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to support our office operations and help create a welcoming experience for patients, clinicians , and visitors. Position Summary The Home Health & Hospice Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, referral sources, and visitors. This position provides administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient daily operations while maintaining a compassionate, professional, and patient-centered environment. The receptionist plays a key role in communication, scheduling, record management, and coordination between clinical staff, patients, and community partners.
Responsibilities:
Answer and direct incoming phone calls Schedule appointments and maintain office calendars Assist with intake paperwork and administrative documentation Maintain patient and office records in an organized and confidential manner Perform data entry, filing, scanning, and general clerical duties Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and deliveries Prepare packets, forms, reports, and correspondence Order and maintain office supplies Support clinical and administrative staff as needed Ensure the office area remains clean and welcoming Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Qualifications for the position: High school diploma or equivalent required Some knowledge with Google Chats, EXCEL, Microsoft Software, EMR (Kinnser/Wellsky). Previous receptionist, administrative assistant. Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and in a team environment Professional demeanor and compassionate attitude Experience in home health or hospice is a plus Bilingual skills are a plus Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods. Frequent use of computers, phones, and office equipment. Occasional lifting of office supplies up to 20 pounds. Work Environment This position is based in a professional healthcare office supporting home health and hospice services. The receptionist regularly interacts with patients, families, healthcare providers, and community partners and must maintain a welcoming and supportive atmosphere at all times.
