Job Duties:
Answer multi-line phone system, manage the calls by resolving issue or directing party to some who can; maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette. Respond to inquiries from patients, prospective patients, and visitors. Protect patient confidentiality. Keep reception area clean and organized. Greet patient upon arrival, check them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data. Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents Process new patient paperwork, and enter in information into the patient's chart based on the patient's written responses Facilitate patient flow by notifying the provider or medical assistant of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits in person as well as over the phone. Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and NP availability Maintain providers' schedules. Responsible for rescheduling days when a provider is out of the office Upload specialist consult notes, labs,etc from E-fax to respective patient charts. Process simple referrals via phone. E-faxing or hard faxing of referral info to the specialist's office.Required education:
High school or equivalentRequired Experience:
Must have at least 1 to 2 years of previous medical front office experience requiredJob Type:
