Job Description
SUMMARY:
Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation (Yocha Dehe or Tribe) is a federally recognized tribal government. The Tribe's mission is to provide for the health and welfare of its people, to govern its own lands and affairs with sovereign independence and in a manner consistent with its cultural values, and to enhance and diversify its economy for the overall good of the nation. Yocha Dehe's governing body, its elected Tribal Council, is charged with implementing this mission. As a federally recognized tribe, Yocha Dehe exercises a government-to-government relationship with the United States, as well as with the State of California and local governments, and the Tribe actively engages with outside agencies and officials, local stakeholders, and members of the public.POSITION SUMMARY
The Receptionist's primary responsibilities include providing receptionist duties for a multiline telephone system, answering incoming calls, and directing callers to appropriate personnel. This position is also responsible for the general administration of the front desk, as well as providing support to the Citizen Services Department.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel. Monitors visitor access and issues passes when required. Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information. Updates master calendars and coordinates meeting arrangements. Orders refreshments/caterings for meetings, gatherings, and special events. Orders, receives, and maintains office supplies for all Community Center departments' rooms. Keeps the supply room stocked and organized. Receives, sorts, logs, and routes mail and publications, daily. Maintains fax machines, sends faxes, and retrieves and routes incoming faxes, assists users as requested. Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, collating, and distributing correspondence.- Ensures the Community Center lobby is always maintained and orderly, including the coffee counter.
- Estimates food and beverage usage and maintains stock of food and beverage products.
- Updates and disseminates contact information for Tribal Council Members, Committees, Tribal Members, and personnel on a regular basis.
- Assists in preparing letters and correspondence.
- Assists with recording meeting actions.
