Job Overview Join our vibrant veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist, where you will be the friendly face and organized voice of our clinic. Duties Greet clients warmly and efficiently manage front desk operations, including appointment scheduling and client check-in/out. Handle veterinary administrative support tasks such as updating patient records using veterinary software and managing medical collections in compliance with DEA and USDA regulations. Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up appointments, ensuring excellent client communication. Assist with animal handling and restraint during check-ups or procedures, maintaining safety for both animals and staff. Support laboratory procedures by preparing samples, recording results, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with veterinary critical care standards. Manage kennel operations by coordinating animal husbandry activities, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animal well-being. Ensure compliance with veterinary terminology standards and maintain accurate documentation for medical-surgical procedures involving companion animals and equine patients. Skills Proven experience in veterinary clinics or animal hospitals with knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and animal restraint techniques. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds. Familiarity with veterinary software systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and correspondence. Knowledge of drug enforcement regulations (DEA) and USDA guidelines related to medical collections and animal care protocols. Experience handling dogs, cats, horses or other companion animals; kennel experience or animal husbandry skills are highly valued. Ability to perform laboratory tasks such as sample preparation and basic testing while maintaining aseptic technique. Understanding of veterinary critical care practices, including animal catheterization, anatomy knowledge, and emergency response procedures. Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week
