$18.00 - $21.00 per hour (DOE) Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, organized, and patient-focused Dental Receptionist to join our team. This role is critical in creating a positive first impression while ensuring smooth front office operations. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of dental terminology, insurance processes, and patient coordination. Key Responsibilities The Dental Receptionist will perform all duties associated with front office dental operations, including but not limited to: Patient Experience & Front Desk Operations Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries Ensure a smooth patient flow and maintain an organized reception area Assist patients with completing new patient and inbound paperwork Insurance & Billing Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and limitations Accurately input and update insurance information in the system Explain treatment estimates, coverage, and out-of-pocket costs to patients Submit and track insurance claims as needed Financial Responsibilities Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances Process payments (cash, credit card, financing options) Maintain accurate financial records and daily reconciliation Administrative Duties Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure accurate scheduling and treatment flow Understand and utilize dental terminology and CDT dental codes Confirm appointments and manage cancellations/no-shows Assist with office reporting and general administrative support Qualifications Previous dental front office or receptionist experience preferred Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures Familiarity with CDT dental codes and treatment planning Experience with insurance verification and billing processes Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency with dental practice management software (preferred) Schedule Temp-to-Full-Time opportunity Schedule may vary based on office needs What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Opportunity for permanent full-time placement Supportive and team-oriented environment Career growth within the organization
