Lafayette Animal Hospital is looking to expand our team and welcome a new Customer Service Representative. We are an established 6 doctor small animal practice located in Lafayette, CA in the East Bay Area. We provide a full range of general practice services including complete medical care, surgical and dental care for dogs, cats, pocket pets and exotics. Through integrative medicine, compassionate care, and ethical service, we are dedicated to provide the best quality of care possible and to help our clients make the right decisions for their pets at every phase of their lives. Candidates must be able to work independently and in a high volume and fast-paced environment. We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of 2 years of veterinary receptionist experience. Salary is based on experience. Duties include but are not limited to: Answering phones in a calm, cheerful, professional manner Checking clients in and out Maintaining accurate records and note-taking Scheduling appointments Preparing estimates and authorization forms for surgeries, euthanasia's and anesthetic releases Confirming all appointments, including anesthetic and ultrasound procedures, and advising the client of any specific instructions needed for their appointments Completing follow-up calls Ability to open and close hospital Processing payment transactions Inter-hospital communication Communication with clients including email correspondence Ability to handle a high level of multi-tasking Able to work as a team Required to lift at least 30 pounds Required to physically interact with both cats and dogs Required to perform housekeeping duties including but not limited to cleaning up animal feces and urine along with other housecleaning related tasks.
