This position combines traditional receptionist duties with legal and administrative support. This is a part-time position with the potential to convert to full-time. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with clients, managing a busy calendar, maintaining accurate case information, and handling sensitive and confidential matters with discretion. Because this individual will often be the first point of contact for current and prospective clients, professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment are essential. Responsibilities Greet clients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner Answer and direct incoming telephone calls using professional phone etiquette Communicate with current and prospective clients by telephone, email, and text message Schedule client consultations, court-related appointments, and other meetings Maintain and coordinate the attorney's calendar, including court appearances, deadlines, consultations, and client appointments Conduct basic intake of prospective clients and accurately record relevant information Update and maintain client files, case information, notes, deadlines, and documents in the firm's case-management software Assist with opening new matters and organizing electronic and physical case files Prepare, format, proofread, scan, copy, and file correspondence and legal documents Assist with obtaining client documents, records, signatures, and other information needed for pending cases Monitor and organize incoming mail, email, court notices, discovery, and other case-related materials Provide clients with routine case updates and relay messages to the attorney accurately and promptly Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client communications, case information, legal strategy, and firm operations Track assigned tasks and follow up to ensure deadlines and client needs are addressed Maintain office supplies and help keep the reception and common areas organized Perform additional administrative and legal-assistant duties as needed Qualifications Applicant
