Job Description

COME JOIN OUR TEAM!
Looking for a fun, active afternoon job where you get to know local kids and families and be part of a great team? Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta is hiring a Front Desk Coordinator for our MSE site! This is the perfect role for a reliable parent, student, or community member who enjoys people, can keep things organized when there is a lot happening at once, and wants consistent weekday afternoon hours. You'll be the friendly face families see at pickup and an important part of keeping Club safe, welcoming, and running smoothly.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Welcome parents, members, and visitors and help create a positive first impression. Manage member check-in/check-out and keep track of who is entering and leaving Club. Communicate with families and staff about pickups, attendance, messages, and daily needs. Answer basic questions, phones, and help with simple administrative tasks and organization. Keep the front desk and shared space clean, organized, and ready for the day. Jump in with light programs or youth support when needed and front desk coverage allows.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Reliable and dependable — consistent attendance and punctuality are very important in this role. Friendly, welcoming, and comfortable talking with parents, kids, staff, and visitors. Organized, attentive, and able to multitask in a busy environment. Comfortable being assertive when needed to follow safety and check-out procedures. Flexible, team-oriented, and ready to help where needed. Experience with children, schools, customer service, reception, or office work is a plus, but not required.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
This is not a quiet, sit-down desk job! Our MSE Club is a loud, energetic, high-activity environment serving TK-3rd grade members. You must be comfortable being on your feet for much of the shift, standing and walking for extended periods, moving through the program space, completing light cleaning/organization, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
SCHEDULE & PAY
Approximately 17 hours per week anticipated, within a 15-20 hour/week position. Monday-Friday during afterschool hours with regular availability through 6:00 PM required. $18.00/hour.
TO APPLY
Send your resume and a cover letter to info@bgcgreatershasta.org. Tell us a little about yourself and why this schedule and environment would be a good fit for you!
