Receptionist (Weekends Only) -
Studebaker Healthcare Center Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to join our administration team at Studebaker Healthcare Center. As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing phone calls, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents, families, and visitors. This is a part-time position, requiring availability to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays, 3pm-8pm) and occasional weekday evenings.
Responsibilities:
Greet residents, families, visitors, volunteers, auxiliary, and staff in a professional and courteous manner Manage phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel Monitor the lobby entrance and ensure COVID screening is completed Complete general office responsibilities, including data entry and filing Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to facility policies and procedures Work closely with the administration team to ensure seamless communication and coordination
Requirements:
Weekends only , must be available to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays, 3pm-8pm) and occasional weekday evenings High school diploma or equivalent required Previous receptionist experience desirable Experience in a long-term care setting preferred Strong communication skills, both oral and written Basic computer skills Knowledge and awareness of the care needs of the elderly and/or chronically ill Must be fully vaccinated for
COVID-19
Personal Qualities:
Strong communication skills, both oral and written Ability to work well with those who have physical or mental limitations Patient, tactful, and cheerful disposition Ability to handle difficult situations and residents Basic understanding of step-by-step procedures Follows and understands written and oral directions
Physical Capabilities:
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 4 feet How to
