The front desk is one of the most important roles in our salon. You are the first and last impression for our guests, so we are looking for someone who is welcoming, organized, professional, and able to stay calm and positive in a busy salon environment. This position is best for someone who enjoys customer service, can stay organized during busy times, and understands the importance of accuracy with scheduling, service tickets, payments, tips, and daily front desk records.
Duties:
  • Greet every guest warmly and help create a welcoming, relaxing salon experience
  • Answer phones, respond to customer questions, schedule/confirm appointments, and manage the booking system
  • Provide accurate information about manicures, pedicures, gel services, nail enhancements, waxing, add-ons, pricing, and salon policies
  • Check guests in and out accurately
  • Process service payments, gift cards, tips, and other customer transactions carefully and accurately
  • Maintain accurate front desk records, including appointment notes, service tickets, customer updates, and daily transaction details
  • Manage walk-ins, wait lists, late arrivals, cancellations, and schedule changes
  • Help match guests with the correct services and technicians while communicating clearly with the team
  • Follow opening and closing procedures, including preparing the reception area, reviewing the schedule, and assisting with daily close-out tasks
  • Keep the front desk, waiting area, and reception space clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Provide polite and professional customer service, even during busy times
  • Assist with light administrative tasks, data entry, tracking, reporting, and other front desk support as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous front desk, receptionist, customer service, salon, spa, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Salon or spa experience is a strong plus
  • Friendly, professional, and comfortable speaking with customers in person and over the phone
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with scheduling, payments, service tickets, tips, and records
  • Comfortable handling cash, credit cards, gift cards, tips, and following proper payment procedures
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while staying positive and organized
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the salon during scheduled shifts
  • Comfortable using computers, tablets, phones, and booking/POS systems
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, including Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets, is helpful
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills preferred
  • Additional language skills are a plus, especially if they help with guest service and team communication
  • Experience with Vagaro or other salon booking software is a plus, but not required
  • Interest in beauty, nails, and customer service is a plus
