This fast-paced position requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities professionally. An additional back-office shift may be available for applicants with a current Medical Assistant certificate.

8-hour shift
Monday:
12-hour shift Approximately 20 hours per week Potential for an additional Friday back-office shift for a certified Medical Assistant Applicants must be dependable and available to work the full Sunday and Monday shifts.
Front-Office Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients Answer phones and schedule appointments Register patients and verify insurance eligibility Collect copays and self-pay payments Enter patient information accurately into the electronic medical record Scan documents into patient charts Assist with workers' compensation and pre-employment visits Communicate professionally with patients, employers, insurance companies, and medical offices Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA requirements Keep the front desk organized and help the office run smoothly Additional Back Office Responsibilities for
Certified Medical Assistants:
Room patients and obtain vital signs Perform blood draws Administer injections as ordered by a provider Perform EKGs Perform rapid laboratory tests Clean, stock, and prepare examination rooms Assist providers and clinical staff as needed Document patient information accurately Perform clinical duties according to training, office protocols, and provider supervision
Qualifications:
Previous medical office or urgent care experience is preferred Medical Assistant certification is required only for applicants who will work back-office shifts Back-office applicants must have experience with blood draws, injections, EKGs, and rapid laboratory testing Excellent attendance and punctuality are required Strong communication and customer-service skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail Basic computer and typing skills Electronic medical record and insurance-verification experience preferred Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred To apply, please submit your résumé and a brief description of your medical front-office and, if applicable, back-office experience.
