Job Description

Kenline Veterinary Clinic is a busy, growing Canon City veterinary clinic that has proudly served Freemont County for over 65 years. We love our highly skilled long-term doctors and staff, many lifelong clients, and adorable pet patients that come in all shapes and sizes. We're continuing to grow our front desk client service team and need someone that can confidently deliver exceptional customer service. This isn't an entry level position unless you are a very quick learner with veterinary-specific experience. The position may be full or part-time depending on the needs of the individual, but our goal is consistent full-time scheduling once trained. The client service representative (CSR/receptionist) position is a critical role in the hospital. You are responsible for making a good impression on clients before and after every appointment, building positive long-term relationships with our clients, handling inbound and outbound calls, responding to emails, accessing multiple dashboards and applications, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, checking clients in and out, coordinating records with other hospitals, refilling prescriptions, answering basic pet health questions, documenting client conversations in the medical records, and keeping the lobby stocked and organized. The following skills are necessary to succeed: Quickly learning (or already knowing) veterinary terminology and protocols Professional communication with people via phone/text/in-person, including people experiencing a medical crisis. Computer savvy Multi-tasking including juggling multiple inbound calls and conversations in a switchboard like atmosphere Anticipating needs of clients, staff, and doctors Compassion & Empathy Adaptability and an upbeat attitude Base pay range $15/hr
