Job Description
Join Our Growing Dental Team Monument Family Dentistry is looking for an experienced, friendly, and highly organized Dental Receptionist to join our front office team. We are a growing, privately owned dental practice committed to providing an exceptional experience for both our patients and our team. As our practice continues to expand, we are looking for someone who understands the flow of a dental office, enjoys connecting with patients, and takes pride in helping the front office run smoothly. As one of the first people our patients interact with, you will play an important role in helping them feel welcomed, comfortable, and well cared for. This position is ideal for someone who can balance excellent customer service with scheduling, insurance, billing, and other administrative responsibilities. You will work closely with our Office Manager and the rest of our front office team. This position will also serve as the primary front office team member on Fridays, confidently managing the reception area and daily front office needs with support from the clinical team. What You'll Do Warmly welcome patients and create a positive first impression Check patients in and out for their appointments Answer incoming calls, text messages, and patient inquiries Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments Help maintain a productive and organized provider schedule Assist with filling cancellations and maintaining an effective patient recall system Review and update patient contact, health, and insurance information Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, frequencies, and coverage limitations Enter accurate insurance information into patient accounts Submit and track dental insurance claims Assist with insurance follow-up, outstanding claims, and account corrections Post insurance payments and review explanations of benefits Collect patient payments and communicate account balances professionally Help patients understand basic insurance benefits, estimated costs, and financial responsibilities Assist with billing, accounts receivable, and patient account follow-up Request and send patient records as needed Maintain accurate documentation in patient accounts Communicate closely with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and front office team members Complete general administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, and documentation Serve as the primary front office team member on Fridays and help keep the day organized Support additional front office responsibilities as needed Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people and understands that accuracy, communication, and attention to detail are essential in a dental office.
