Experience:

Active state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Previous experience working with children or students in a school setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Understanding of IEPs and the therapy process in educational environments Ability to adapt and respond to diverse student needs Reliability and organizational skills for managing a full caseload

Responsibilities:

Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Support students with speech, language, and communication challenges within school settings Assist in the preparation and organization of therapy materials and documentation Collect data and maintain progress notes on student performance Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and adjust therapeutic approaches Work collaboratively with teaching staff and families to help meet students' communication goals
