Job Description
Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital Client Service Representative Position Overview Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Client Service Representative to support our busy small animal department. This client facing role supports the hospital by managing and directing client communication, scheduling appointments and surgeries, invoicing and cashing out clients and maintaining a welcoming, friendly and organized front desk environment. Our client service representatives work closely with our veterinarians, technicians and other support staff to provide an exceptional client and patient experience from check in to check out! This is a full time position with a schedule consisting of Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday-Saturday with varying shifts available. Key Responsibilities Check in and Check out: Greet clients, verify patient information, and update records as needed.
Appointment Scheduling:
Schedule appointments, surgeries and technician visits.Maintaining Communication:
Serve as the main communication 'hub' between clients and veterinarians to relay messages accurately and promptly.Financial Transactions and Cash Handling:
Create and discuss invoices with clients, as well as collect payment for services rendered.Medical Record Management:
Maintain accurate client and patient records by entering communication notes, updating contact info as needed. Qualifications Experience in the veterinary field strongly preferred, but willing to accept experience in a human medical or client service facing role in lieu of veterinary experience. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Familiarity with medical terminology required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced hospital.
