Job Description

Overview We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! This is a fast-paced role where every day brings something new, and we are looking for someone who thrives on multitasking while keeping a positive, professional attitude. Experience in the Veterinary Field is required. Duties Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter the clinic to the moment they leave. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. We currently use the PIMS Avimark. Handle medical collections and process payments accurately. Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and treatment plans. Assist veterinarians with patient intake, including gathering relevant information about the animal's health and behavior. It is an asset but not a requirement to provide basic animal handling, restraint, and care during visits, ensuring the safety of both pets and staff. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care advice. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the reception area and waiting room. Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care. Experience Candidates should possess a combination of relevant experience that may include: Veterinary experience or working in a veterinary clinic setting.
REQUIRED
(1-2 years minimum). Knowledge of veterinary terminology to facilitate effective communication with staff and clients. Experience in medical collection processes. Familiarity with animal husbandry practices, including dog handling, animal restraint, and pet grooming. Previous experience in veterinary critical care or animal catheterization will be considered an asset.
