Receptionist Masonicare at Ashlar Village - Wallingford, CT Day and Evening / 12 hours per week Greets, assists and directs visitors, residents and other
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides assistance, guidance and direction to visitors and residents. Ascertains the nature of their business; assists and/or directs visitors and residents to various locations in the Village when appropriate. Calls for an escort when necessary. 2. Answers the phone, communicates professionally through Radio with other staff members, receives messages, flowers, newspapers and other items and notifies appropriate personnel. Delivers or arranges for the delivery of items to residents and appropriate personnel. 3. Maintains files on resident's requests for meal service as well as other needs. Maintains directory and files on current residents, their locations, status and other pertinent information according to established procedure. 4. Maintains/ Assists Administrative Assistant with Monthly BAR Report, Weekly Indicator Report, Vacancy/Occupancy Notices, and other Administrative Reports and/or Projects. 5. Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. 6. Maintains Adult Day Check in/Check out for those participating in the program. 7. Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings; attends meetings as required. 8. Handles all incoming emergencies through Call-for-Aid System. Notifies and directs appropriate personnel. 9. Serves as "hand holder" to upset residents. Also serves as "front of the house" eyes and ears, reporting issues of importance to the President. 10. Schedules resident transportation requests. 11. Inputs maintenance and housekeeping work orders. 12. Maintains Outlook calendar for Associate Executive Director, and guest room reservations. 13. Fills in as needed for Administrative Assistants/Receptionists 14. Sorts and distributes all incoming correspondence 15. Receives daily prescriptions from Pharmacies and delivers to nursing department for reconciliation. 16. Assists team with additional requests as needed and performs other duties as assigned.
