Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and organized Child Care Receptionist to join our team during the afternoon hours. (from 2:30pm-5:30 pm Monday through Friday).This vital role ensures smooth front desk operations, provides exceptional customer service to parents and visitors, and maintains a welcoming environment for children and families. The ideal candidate will be personable, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a nurturing community while developing valuable administrative skills. Responsibilities Greet parents, children, visitors, and staff with a friendly and professional demeanor at the front desk. Checks identification of all visitors. Answers telephone politely and takes accurate messages for director and staff. Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, using proper phone etiquette, and direct calls appropriately Manage daily office operations including scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and handling correspondence Assist with client communication by providing information about programs and policies clearly and courteously Maintain organized front desk area, ensuring all materials are tidy and accessible Support administrative tasks such as data entry, typing documents, proofreading materials, and updating files using Microsoft Office applications Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth daily operations and effective communication between team members Requirements Bilingual abilities are highly preferred to effectively communicate with diverse families Proven office management or administrative experience in a childcare or educational setting Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills Excellent phone answering skills with knowledge of multi-line phone systems and phone reception best practices Demonstrated clerical experience including data entry, typing, proofreading, and document management Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time effectively Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette Previous experience in front desk or personal assistant roles is advantageous Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to check identification of all visitors. Pay:
