The Front Desk Gym Receptionist is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional experience for all members and guests while supporting the daily operations of the gym. This position combines customer service, membership sales and retention, front desk administration, and general gym maintenance. Key Responsibilities Member & Guest Services Greet members and guests warmly and provide excellent customer service. Check members in and assist guests with questions, facility information, and general concerns. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about memberships, services, and facility policies. Maintain a friendly, positive, and professional atmosphere at the front desk. Membership Sales Promote and sell gym memberships, packages, upgrades, and additional services. Explain membership options, pricing, benefits, and facility amenities to prospective members. Give facility tours and help potential members determine the membership option that best fits their needs. Member Retention Build positive relationships with members and encourage continued gym participation. Identify opportunities to improve member satisfaction and reduce cancellations. Assist members with membership questions, account concerns, freezes, cancellations, and upgrades. Gym Maintenance & Facility Appearance Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and floor (including maintaining weight's presentation) . Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and high-traffic areas. Restock supplies such as paper products, cleaning supplies, and other necessary items. Ensure equipment and facility areas are kept organized and report maintenance or safety concerns to management. Administrative Duties Process membership payments and maintain accurate member information. Handle basic cash register and point-of-sale transactions. Follow gym policies and procedures regarding memberships, payments, safety, and customer service. Complete assigned daily checklists, logs, and other administrative tasks. Communicate member concerns and facility issues to management promptly. Requirements Availability to work various shift times Ability to lift and move light-to-moderate supplies as needed. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to perform routine cleaning and facility maintenance tasks.
