Job Overview Salon NY is seeking a friendly, polished, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our salon. This role is essential to creating an exceptional guest experience from the moment clients walk through our doors or call to book an appointment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced salon setting, communicates clearly, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly for both clients and stylists. •Weekend availability required•Key Responsibilities Welcome clients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression of Salon NY Answer and manage multi-line phone calls, texts, and emails with excellent etiquette Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments for stylists using our booking system Check clients in and out, process payments, and assist with retail inquiries Maintain accurate client records and daily schedules Communicate effectively with stylists regarding appointments, changes, and client needs Keep the front desk and reception area clean, organized, and inviting Assist with administrative tasks such as supply ordering, light data entry, and document preparation Follow up with clients for appointment confirmations and customer care support Support salon management with day-to-day operational needs Qualifications & Skills Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk coordinator, or in a customer-facing role (salon or spa experience is a plus) Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy, fast-paced environment Clear verbal and written communication skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while supporting a team Prior salon experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate Why Join Salon NY?
