Job Description

A MedFlorida Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for clerical data entry to assist the medical staff. Front Desk Receptionist's complete administrative and tasks in the practice while maintaining a safe environment. The Front Desk Receptionist's duties include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities Verify patient health insurance and scan all documents into the patient's chart. Check insurance eligibility and benefits. Greet positively and communicate clearly with patients entering the premises data. Answer high volume of incoming calls, and answers inquires and return messages to patient/physician/pharmacy calls. Check faxes & voicemails regularly, multiple times a day. Ability to multitask using the electronic medical records (EMR) system. Accurately collect patient payments and balances due at time of check in and/or check out. Fulfill all other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator, practice administrator or management. Schedule future patient appointments. Create and update patient medical history and/or charts. Additional Duties Communicate and work regularly with the Office Manager and board-certified Physician Perform job responsibilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy Move, carry, and lift objects weighing less than 20lbs without assistance Abide by all compliance regulations including but not limited to HIPAA and OSHA Minimum Qualifications Positive & Strong interpersonal communication skills Bilingual Spanish (preferred) Demonstrate customer service skills 1+ years in the medical field preferred
