The ideal candidate presents a positive, welcoming disposition and is able to assist multiple callers and/or visitors at the same time. The receptionist will be responsible for providing first-point-of-contact customer service for general inquires and visitors to the Pastoral Center. S/he will also be responsible for operating the main switchboard and greeting callers, assessing their needs, and directing them to the appropriate parties. This employee assists in other clerical and/or administrative tasks of the office as needed. The Receptionist performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary College or business-school coursework and one year of switchboard preferred Experience in a customer service environment, preferred. Must be proficient in data entry. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent oral and written English and Spanish-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice; Creole a plus.
• Skilled in navigating websites and email functions; MS Outlook preferred. Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic.
Church:
experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
