Job Description
JOB BRIEF
The historic Lakeside Inn, a full-service hotel located in downtown Mount Dora, is seeking candidates for Front Desk Guest Reception. Ideal candidates will be neat in appearance, professional, dependable, and mature-minded, with strong hospitality skills. We are seeking a full-time or part-time employee. Must be able to work evening shifts, 3 pm- 11 pm, including weekends and holidays. Previous hotel front desk experience is required. Hotel night audit experience is a plus. A background check will be required before hiring. A complimentary meal is provided for each shift worked. Please submit a resume by reply email. - Ensure all PM shift duties are fulfilled daily. Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
- Manage in-person, phone, and online reservations.
- Answer all emails and phone messages promptly and professionally.
- Maintain cash bank per accounting guidelines and comply with all accounting procedures.
- Forward guest inquiries regarding special events and weddings to Sales Department.
- Ensure future reservations are guaranteed and all online inventory is accurate.
- Resolve guest billing disputes promptly.
- Maintain arrivals lists to maximize room sales.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve grievances and conflicts with professionalism. Resolve issues at the desk when they arise or with a follow-up call or email when necessary.
- Serve as a role model to uphold the hotel's commitment to hospitality.
- Maintain good working relationships with other departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year of experience in Hotel Front Desk Guest Services is required
- High School diploma or GED
- Excellent people skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Proven ability to manage staff
- Customer-oriented approach and patience
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to multi-task and follow through
- Ability to operate telephone and computer systems
Job Types:
