Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk activities, handling patient interactions, and maintaining medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Manage incoming calls and respond to inquiries with professionalism. Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar efficiently. Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate data entry. Maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with the preparation of care plans and documentation as needed. Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence. Support coding processes as required by the office. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers in both English and Spanish (if applicable). Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care. Familiarity with medical records management and care plans. Proficiency in administrative tasks including typing and filing. Knowledge of coding practices is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Bilingual in Spanish is an advantage but not required. Must demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills.
