EXPERIENCED

veterinary receptionist for our busy & growing animal hospital. We are happy to provide some training, but need to be able to depend on someone who already has established veterinary front desk expertise. This opportunity is for a full time/ part-time position. We are looking for a friendly, energetic individual who is looking to join a team/work family. Vetfield Animal Hospital is a small animal hospital located in Sunrise, Fl. The position preference is for someone who has requires a minimum of 2+ years experience in a veterinary clinic setting. Candidates must have an outgoing personality, work well in a team environment and be able to follow directions while being self-motivated. We all love animals, and know many candidates do too, but please be mindful as we're looking for more than just love of our furry friends when applying. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Familiar with veterinary and medical terms. Dispense and explain products for pets. Recommend and sell over-the-counter animal products & food. Greet clients and their animals when they enter the hospital. Ensure that clients' needs are met as quickly and efficiently as possible. Skillfully make and balance client appointments (Checking patients in/out). Polite and patient telephone communication (being able to handle multiple phone lines at the same time). Be extremely detailed, organized and have strong follow-up skills. Call clients to confirm appointments. Create invoices in the computer and present/explain invoices to clients. Apply payments to accounts receivable. Retrieve, update, and file pet records, Keep treatment rooms and waiting area clean and orderly We are open 8-6 Monday, Tuesday,Thursday & Friday, Wednesday and Saturday are 8-2. Working Saturdays is a requirement. Positions are full time with a competitive salary depending on experience. Pre- Employment background and reference check are required. Includes accrued paid vacation and staff production bonuses.
