Full-Time or Part-Time available Position Overview We are seeking a professional and patient-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate has a background in customer service (2+ years), strong organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience in an optical or medical setting is highly preferred. This role is key to creating a welcoming first impression for patients while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the front desk.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all patient communications: answer calls promptly, return missed calls, and oversee appointment confirmations, reschedules, and follow-ups. Greet patients warmly, assist with intake forms, referrals, and pre-testing, and deliver exceptional service throughout their visit. Collect patient information and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Verify insurance benefits accurately and support billing-related inquiries. Operate office and point-of-sale equipment, including phones, scanners, and printers. Maintain accurate records and patient communications through Weave and RevolutionEHR (or similar systems). Keep the front desk clean, organized, and welcoming while upholding professional appearance and hygiene standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; some college or additional training preferred. Minimum 2 years of customer service experience; optical or medical setting strongly preferred. Proficiency in insurance verification, computers, and office/point-of-sale equipment. Experience with Weave and RevolutionEHR (or similar platforms) required. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Valid driver's license required.
