Job Description

This role serves as one of the first points of contact for patients and referring providers. The ideal candidate is professional, friendly, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining excellent communication and customer service skills.
This individual will assist with:
incoming calls patient scheduling referral coordination front desk operations helping ensure a seamless patient experience throughout the practice insurance verification patient financials Responsibilities Answer inbound patient calls in a professional and compassionate manner Schedule new and existing patient appointments accurately and efficiently Assist patients with questions regarding appointments, referrals, and basic office information Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information Coordinate incoming referrals from physician offices and healthcare providers Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes Monitor voicemails, missed calls, and patient communication queues Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and administrative team members Ensure a welcoming and professional front office environment Uphold HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards at all times Very patient insurance benefits and eligibility Collect patient payments prior to the visit Support practice growth through exceptional patient service and communication Qualifications Previous medical office, call center, or healthcare administrative experience preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Insurance verification experience preferred Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Professional demeanor and appearance Experience with EMR systems preferred Knowledge of insurance verification and referrals is a plus Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn Preferred Traits We are looking for someone who: genuinely enjoys helping patients, communicates with empathy and professionalism, works well under pressure, and takes pride in creating a positive patient experience. Healthcare experience is preferred, but attitude, work ethic, and willingness to grow are equally important.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
