At Hair Clinique LLC., hair care and our client's satisfaction are very important to us. About the Role The front desk representative plays a vital role in customer service and upkeep of the front of the shop. They are the "face" of the company for all clients and will be responsible for the first impression we make. They will undertake all receptionist and clerical duties. The ideal candidate for us will have a friendly and easy going personality while also being disciplined and respectful. They should have conflict resolution skills and handle complaints from clients. Being organized and detail-oriented is a must for this role. This candidate should have a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to make clients feel comfortable and valued while at the Hair Clinique LLC. This role is in-person and is part-time. They will be required to work Saturday mornings 8 am to 1 pm. Responsibilities Prepare the stylist's stations Shampoo client's hair when needed Assist with stock and inventory duties Sweep floors in between services Clean sinks in between clients Maintain a supply of clean towels and capes Wash and put away laundry Stock towels, retail inventory and back bar products Wipe down surfaces in between clients Clean and sterilize scissors, combs, clippers, and other instruments Greet and check-in clients Answer inquiries and compliments from clients Check and answer all emails Sending invoices and quotes to clients Monitor office supplies Keep updated records and files of clients Take up other duties as assigned (Scheduling clients for next appointment, check-out, run errands, etc.) Requirements Proven experience in cosmetology and hair styling Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.) Knowledge of office management and basic bookkeeping Proficient in English (oral and written) Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word) Over 18 years old Has a valid driver's license Skills & Experience Preferred experience as front desk representative High School diploma; additional qualifications will be a plus Strong communication (both verbal and written) and people skills Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities Problem-solving skills Detail-oriented Customer service experience (about a 1 year) Knowledge of social media (i.e., Facebook and Instagram)
