ABOUT OUR AGENCY

I opened my agency in 2000 and currently lead a team of four. I've been with State Farm for 33 years, with experience in homeowners claims and agency resources before becoming an agent. State Farm is a family tradition - I'm the seventh State Farm agent in my family. I'm a Mercer University graduate, have been married for 28 years, and am the proud father of twins and triplets. Giving back to the community is an important part of our agency. We sponsor three local high schools, recognize a weekly high school football player, support the Midwest Food Bank, and I'm proud to serve on the board of the Real Life Center, a local nonprofit. ROLE DESCRIPTION

Clay Van Meter - State Farm Agent is a leading insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member. Our ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to contributing to a positive and productive workplace. RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone, directing them to the appropriate team members. Manage appointment scheduling and office communications. Assist in handling incoming inquiries and maintaining customer records. Engage in conversations with prospective and existing customers, identifying opportunities to offer insurance options. Provide excellent customer service and follow up on customers needs. Support the team with various administrative tasks and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role. Communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational and multitasking abilities. Comfortable with engaging in sales conversations. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
