  • $20 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Customer communication Medical scheduling Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Medical administrative support Medical terminology Medical receptionist Full Job Description Atlantic Advanced Spine and Neurology Institute (AASNI) is seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Receptionist with more than one-year medical office experience for the busy pain management and neurology clinics at three locations•Suwanee, Lilburn, and Braselton.

Office hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm Mon-Fri including 1 hour lunch break time (hours/days may vary), typically 35-40 hours a week. Position Summary The Medical Receptionist plays an important role in providing an excellent patient experience and supporting the daily operations of our clinics. Primary responsibilities include scheduling and confirming appointments, communicating with patients, verifying insurance eligibility, and assisting with prior authorizations for diagnostic tests, medications, and procedures. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment, and committed to providing courteous and professional patient service. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and provide professional, courteous front-desk service Answer incoming calls and respond appropriately to patient questions Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Assist with prior authorizations for medications, diagnostic testing, and procedures Communicate with insurance companies, pharmacies, patients, and clinical staff as needed Work closely with billing staff regarding insurance and authorization issues Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist with other administrative and patient-coordination duties as assigned Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, billing staff, and other team members Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree or higher preferred Medical receptionist, patient coordinator, or similar healthcare administrative experience preferred Prior experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations is strongly preferred Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those fluent in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Korean Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer-service and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy clinical environment Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines Dependable, punctual, responsible, and team-oriented Comfortable using computers, EMR systems, email, and standard office software Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between clinic locations when scheduled Must be available to work Monday-Friday during regular clinic hours
