PART-TIME FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE
Align Gymnastics | Tucker, Georgia Part-Time | Weekday Evenings & Saturdays About Align Gymnastics Align Gymnastics is looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized Part-Time Front Desk Associate to help create a welcoming and well-managed environment for our gymnasts and families. The front desk is an important part of our daily operations and is often the first point of contact for families entering the gym, calling with questions, or looking for information about our programs. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with both children and adults, communicates well, pays attention to details, and is comfortable learning our families and programs. Schedule Our primary staffing needs are:Monday-Thursday:
4:00 PM-7:00PM Saturday:
9:30 AM-2:00 PM Applicants do not need to be available for every listed shift. We are open to candidates who can consistently work only some of these days/hours. Please include your regular availability when applying. There is potential for additional hours in the future as our enrollment, class schedule, and programs grow. Responsibilities Greet gymnasts and families and help create a friendly, welcoming environment. Learn the names of our regular gymnasts and families and become familiar with our programs and class structure. Answer incoming phone calls professionally, take detailed and accurate messages, and direct questions to the appropriate staff member. Assist families with general questions and inquiries and know when a question should be referred to management. Help manage lobby traffic during busy class transitions, including arrivals and dismissals. Monitor children who are waiting for a parent or guardian and follow gym procedures to ensure children are never permitted to leave the facility unattended. Help ensure gymnasts are released appropriately to their parent, guardian, or authorized adult. Communicate with coaches and management when parents need assistance. Navigate basic computer systems to access schedules, family information, and other front desk resources. Keep the front desk and lobby organized and presentable. Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed. Help maintain a calm, professional, and organized environment during busy periods. Qualifications Reliable transportation and the ability to arrive consistently and on time. Dependable and comfortable working independently when needed. Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. Friendly and comfortable interacting with children, parents, and other adults. Comfortable answering phone calls and communicating professionally. Able to take detailed, accurate notes and relay information to other staff members. Comfortable learning and navigating basic computer systems. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Able to remain attentive in a busy environment where multiple classes and families may be arriving or leaving at the same time. Uses good judgment and follows established procedures regarding child supervision and dismissal. Willing to learn Align Gymnastics programs, policies, schedules, and procedures. Previous front desk, receptionist, customer service, childcare, recreation, gymnastics, dance, or youth-program experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, personable, and eager to learn. What We're Looking For This position is a particularly good fit for someone who naturally gets to know people and enjoys making families feel comfortable and welcome. We want our front desk staff to be more than someone sitting behind a computer - we want them to become a familiar, helpful presence for our gymnasts and families. The right person should be able to recognize when a parent needs assistance, help direct questions appropriately, keep an eye on what is happening in the lobby, and contribute to a safe and positive experience from the time a family walks in until they leave.
