Front Desk Receptionist

Job Description

Be the friendly face that helps keep our pediatric clinic running smoothly! We're looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk & Billing Specialist to join our pediatric clinic team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping families, stays calm in a busy environment, and has a strong eye for detail when it comes to scheduling, insurance, and billing. If you can greet a toddler with a smile, help a parent understand their insurance benefits, and keep a busy schedule organized—we want to meet you! What You'll Do Welcome patients and families with a warm, professional attitude Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately Answer phones, respond to messages, and assist families with questions Schedule and coordinate appointments Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and eligibility Collect copays, deductibles, balances, and other patient payments Review insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations or referrals Post payments and insurance adjustments Follow up on outstanding balances and unpaid claims Assist with billing questions and communicate with insurance companies as needed Maintain accurate patient records and protect patient confidentiality Help keep the front office organized, welcoming, and running smoothly Work closely with clinical staff and providers to ensure a great patient experience Follow HIPAA, clinic, and billing policies and procedures Pitch in wherever needed to support our team and our families What We're Looking For Previous medical front desk, billing, or healthcare administrative experience preferred Experience with pediatric or family medicine is a plus Strong understanding of insurance verification, copays, deductibles, and claims Excellent customer-service and communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and well-organized Comfortable working with children and communicating with parents and caregivers Ability to handle sensitive billing conversations with patience and professionalism Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems preferred Why You'll Love Working With Us Working in pediatrics means every family interaction matters.
