Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Receptionist/Concierge serves as the first point of contact for The Selfhelp Home, welcoming residents, families, staff, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy. This role is responsible for managing all incoming calls, guest check-ins, and front desk communications while providing efficient administrative support to the facility. The Receptionist must follow all security, screening, and compliance procedures, including visitor verification, fire panel operation during emergencies, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. The role also requires knowledge of cross-contamination prevention and the ability to sanitize phones, computers, and the reception workspace after each shift change to maintain a hygienic environment.
Requirements and Education:
Must follow strict security, HIPAA, safety, and infection control procedures. Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure, including during emergencies. Reliability, punctuality, and discretion are essential. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift to 50 lbs. when needed. Must be capable of responding quickly to emergency situations, including fire panel operation and evacuation assistance. High school diploma or equivalent required. About
