Front Desk Receptionist 1221 East Condit Street, Decatur, IL 62523 $17.53 an hour - Full-time $17.53 an hour - Full-time Join a Team That Makes a Difference The Macon County Health Department is seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our agency. If you enjoy helping people, thrive in a fast-paced office environment, and take pride in providing exceptional customer service, we'd love to hear from you. As the face of our organization, you'll help create a welcoming experience for community members while supporting the daily operations of our public health team. What You'll Do Welcome visitors and provide exceptional customer service Answer and direct incoming phone calls Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors entering the building Coordinate visitor access and assist with inquiries Maintain a professional and organized reception area Perform general administrative and clerical duties Support daily office operations and staff as needed Communicate effectively with employees, community members, and partner agencies What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Minimum of two (2) years of office or administrative experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Professional telephone etiquette Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of standard office equipment Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds Positive, compassionate, and professional attitude Additional Requirements Valid Illinois Driver's License Reliable personal vehicle available during work hours Appropriate automobile insurance Ability to occasionally bend, squat, and lift up to 25 pounds Why Join the Macon County Health Department?
