Job Description
Beelman Truck Co. is seeking an experienced Receptionist for our headquarters located on Highway 15 between Belleville and East St. Louis, Illinois. We are a large, dry bulk transportation company looking for the right person to join our busy team. Position Summary The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and callers. This role is responsible for creating a positive first impression, managing front‑desk operations, and providing administrative support to ensure efficient office functioning. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Responsibilities Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner. Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls to the appropriate departments. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries. Experience with FedEx and UPS a plus. Assist with scheduling meetings, reserving conference rooms, and maintaining calendars through Microsoft Outlook Calendars. Provide basic information to callers and visitors about the organization. Update and maintain contact lists and internal directories. Enter data, prepare documents, and perform general clerical duties (copying, scanning, filing). Ensure office supplies are stocked and coordinate ordering/replenishment as needed. This position also works with the Accounts Payable department. Billing experience preferred. Support various departments with administrative tasks as requested. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-5 years receptionist experience with knowledge of customer service/billing preferred. Experience with a multi-line phone system. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office, email, calendars, etc.). Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment. Professional appearance and demeanor. Key Competencies Customer service orientated Attention to detail!
