Job Description

Receptionist Wage Range $15-$22.00/hr Job Overview We are seeking a professional and friendly FQHC Receptionist to join our team . The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment, supporting Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health services. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth front desk operations. Key Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner. Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and efficiently. Schedule and confirm patient appointments for Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health departments. Verify patient information and assist with patient check-in and check-out processes. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers. Assist with insurance verification and basic billing inquiries. Manage waiting area to ensure a clean and welcoming environment. Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support clinic operations. Qualifications Previous experience as a receptionist in an FQHC or healthcare setting preferred. Familiarity with Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health office procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with computer systems and scheduling software. Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification is a plus. Work Environment We have locations in Oquawka, Monmouth and Stronghurst Illinois, within a community-focused healthcare facility providing comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health services. ```
