Dental Front Desk Receptionist (Part-Time) Spanish Bilingual Chicago Dental Society Foundation (CDSF) Clinic - Wheaton, IL No Phone Calls Please. The Chicago Dental Society Foundation (CDSF) Clinic is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and Spanish/English bilingual Part-Time Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our small, mission-driven team. About Us The CDSF Clinic provides essential dental care to low-income residents of DuPage, Cook, and Lake counties . We are proud to be the only dental foundation in Illinois that owns and operates a clinic staffed entirely by volunteer dentists . Our mission is to improve access to quality dental care for individuals who may otherwise have limited access to dental services. Position Summary Our nonprofit dental clinic is located in Wheaton, IL (DuPage County) — this position is not in downtown Chicago . We are looking for a friendly, organized, and compassionate Bilingual Dental Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our clinic. You will interact with patients, volunteer dentists, dental professionals, and community members on a daily basis. Because we are a small team, this position is an important part of keeping the clinic running smoothly. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, professional, and comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities in a busy but supportive environment. This position involves frequent interaction with patients both in person and over the phone, so the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and compassionately is essential. The ideal candidate should be comfortable answering questions, explaining information, scheduling appointments, and helping patients feel welcomed and supported throughout their experience at our clinic. Spanish fluency is essential , as many of our patients are Spanish-speaking and will rely on you for clear communication throughout their care. Responsibilities Greet patients and provide a warm, welcoming experience Answer and return patient phone calls and respond to messages Schedule and confirm patient appointments Assist patients with the clinic's registration and intake process Communicate with patients regarding appointments, paperwork, and clinic procedures Provide Spanish/English interpretation and communication assistance when needed Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary Verify and organize patient paperwork and required documentation Assist with patient check-in and check-out Coordinate scheduling with volunteer dentists and other dental professionals Communicate professionally with volunteer dentists, dental staff, and community partners Help maintain an organized and efficient front desk and reception area Assist with general administrative duties and other tasks needed to support the clinic Protect patient confidentiality and follow all applicable privacy policies and procedures Provide compassionate and respectful service to patients from diverse backgrounds Qualifications Fluent in Spanish and English — verbal and written Previous dental office experience required Experience with dental terminology and/or dental software is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Compassionate and patient-focused Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment Comfortable working with volunteer dental professionals Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and the mission of helping others What We Offer The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients in our community A supportive, mission-driven work environment The opportunity to work alongside volunteer dentists and dental professionals Paid leave in accordance with the Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act Paid holidays , including: New Year's Day Martin Luther King Jr. Day Memorial Day Juneteenth Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day and the
