Job Description

General Description:
The receptionist acts as the first point of contact for Skytech Products Group and must be personable and able to convey a good first impression of the company. This position will answer phones, distribute mail and manage supplies for the office area. Written and verbal communication skills are required to regularly interact with visitors, customers and fellow employees.
Reports to:
Customer Service Manager Hours:
Monday - Friday 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Responsibilities:
Ensure phones are answered quickly and calls are routed efficiently Monitor door access to maintain building security for staff Cordially greet authorized visitors in a professional manner and direct them to their appointment Maintain visitor logs Understand proper operation of office equipment (copiers, postage machine, telephone system, etc.) Schedule service and maintenance for office equipment when needed Maintain supplies and clean the kitchen area Keep office common spaces clean and tidy, including windows Maintain all files and records for the sales and customer service departments Filing documents as needed for any department Monitor receivables report and follow up with past due accounts Maintain inventory of office supplies Process and distribute incoming and outgoing shipments via USPS Maintain customer contact records Work as a team to achieve department goals Follow Employee Handbook rules including PPE Other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Previous Experience:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Minimum Additional Training:
None Other Preferred Skills and Competencies:
General math Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office products preferred Experience in customer service or receptionist role Good attendance habits
General Requirements:
Ability to occasionally work in a factory environment with no air conditioning Employee may be required to sit or stand while performing duties Regularly walking to other departments throughout the building This position requires occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds Ability to read text of 12-point font using corrected or uncorrected vision Ability to hear warning signals Read and write English Crosstrain in additional departments as required by supervisor
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
