Monday - Friday / Day Shift / Full Time / No Holidays / No Weekends

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

: High School Diploma or GED. Experience in a medical office, hospital or long-term care facility strongly preferred, but not required. Computer aptitude to do inquiry, data entry and daily system operations. CPR Certification Good communication skills and pleasant phone technique as required handling various telephone and in-person communication with patients, guests, and other medical providers in a professional manner. Computer aptitude to do inquiry, data entry and daily system operations. Math aptitude sufficient to balance and handle cash.

PRIMARY DUTIES

As the receptionist, you will greet patients and guests in a professional manner responding to questions or requests appropriately. Obtain complete patient demographic and insurance information for system entry and check patients in for appointments in a timely manner. Handle cash, balance the daily charges and perform daily deposit. Deliver deposits to bank daily as needed. Ensures that all telephone calls are answered promptly and handles or directs the calls appropriately. Schedules appointments according to specified guidelines. Performs office opening procedures and closing procedures independently as scheduled. Sort incoming mail and incoming faxes to then distribute accordingly. Scan necessary patient health information into EHR, and route into corresponding patient charts, ensuring accuracy. Route incoming electronic faxes in EHR into patient charts.
