: $14.00 GENERAL
RESPONSIBILITY
The Human Resources Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for the agency and provides front desk, clerical, and administrative support to the Central Administrative Office and Human Resources Department. This position supports daily office operations by ensuring a welcoming environment, accurate communication, and efficient handling of administrative and reception-related tasks.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Front Desk & Administrative Support Greet visitors professionally, sign guests in and out, issue visitor credentials, and notify staff of arrivals Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously; provide accurate information and route calls to appropriate staff or programs Provide callers with general information regarding agency services, hours of operation, and locations Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries Process outgoing mail, including faxing, shipping, certified mail, and post office runs Support basic clerical needs such as copying, filing, data entry, and scheduling as assigned Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and conference rooms Monitor and restock reception and conference room supplies as needed Manage reception-area inventory and notify appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered Update agency calendars and coordinate room scheduling as assigned Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources and agency leadership as requested Prepare new hire folders, orientation materials, swag bags, name badges, and ID copies Assist with onboarding logistics as directed by the HR team Send agency birthday cards and assist with other employee recognition efforts Order flowers and general office supplies as requested Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required and experience in social work/human services preferred. Organizational skills Computer experience, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Knowledge of community, agencies and resources is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work with people of diverse and varying socio-economic backgrounds.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
