Job Description
About us Future Hope Total Health is a holistic direct primary care office in Shelbyville, KY. A practice that brings the physical, mental, and emotional together to create a truly holistic approach to primary care. We are looking for an administrative assistant with lots of drive and ambition. Applicant should be professional, dependable, and caring. Multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail are required. Responsibilities:
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing billing and insurance information.
- Submit referrals, prior authorizations, and schedule.
- Sort, review, contact, and schedule new patients.
- Promptly answer phone calls.
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and collecting specimens for basic laboratory testing.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Skills:
- Proficient in medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, and managing electronic health records (EHR)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care and effectively communicate with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
