A Receptionist greets and directs customers or visitors that come in to an office or business, and answers and directs incoming phone calls. Deals with mail or courier services. May schedule appointments or meeting rooms, gather patient information, or assist with filing or other administrative support work.
Kennedy Facial Plastic Surgery, led by Paige Kennedy, M.D., provides facial plastic surgery and aesthetic services in a patient-focused, detail-oriented practice. We're looking for a warm, organized and friendly Front Desk Coordinator to be the first point of contact for our patients and a key part of our clinical team's day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors with a professional, welcoming manner Manage phone lines, text lines, scheduling and calendar coordination for consultations, surgical procedures, and aesthetic treatments Check patients in and out, collect payments for cosmetic services, and process related paperwork Maintain and update patient records in the practice's EHR/practice management system in accordance with HIPAA and practice confidentiality policies Verify insurance information where applicable and coordinate with billing Support before/after photo documentation logistics in coordination with clinical staff Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office and waiting area Support day-to-day administrative needs of the practice Communicate professionally and confidentially with patients regarding sensitive personal and medical information Support marketing and patient-experience initiatives as directed
What We're Looking For:
Prior front desk, medical office, or customer-service experience preferred (aesthetic/plastic surgery or dermatology experience a plus) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable with EHR/practice management software and general office technology - experience with Nextech specifically is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
